Another thing to consider is that many more English speakers (like myself) get our news/current events via the Internet whereas far fewer Spanish dominant speaking Latinos still watch TV
You can watch Univision news and not even understand spanish and still see they are advocates for illegal immigrants.
Another thing to remember is that the news anchors on the above stations tend not to look stereotypically 'Hispanic' either------it is tough for a Mestizo to get on board.
In fact: some years ago; the Spanish language TV stations in the Miami area wound up recruiting news anchors from Argentina of all places, due to the local Cuban-Americans not speaking correct Spanish anymore.
Any time there's a disaster, they report only on the hispanics affected by it. You will not see them interviewing a white or black American victim, they manage to find some illegal from Mexico or Guatemala. They seem to be promoting Aztlan but then obviously that financially benefits them because the more illegals from Mexico coming, the bigger their audience.

Yet; this is directed to Univision, where are their Mestizo news anchors?
Unless it is that Hispanic patron/peon thing going on.
I suspect that one is more likely to find an English person of Black, East Indian, Chinese, etc. heritage on BBC than a non White announcer on a Spanish language network.

Hell; a GringoEnglish speaking TV station would be more likely to hire 'indigenous' Americans as anchors-------even if 'Affirmative Action' was not an issue.
Mary Kim Titla was an TV anchor here in Phx-----she is of at least part Apache Indian.
A famous anchor is Soledad O'Brien-----she is part Afro-Caribbean lineage.
Rhetorically speaking; where are the non White Hispanic anchors on Spanish language stations..............
Well, Univision IS a Latino station -- what, you want LA Korean TV to hire Chinese cuties to report on Southern California? Why not rant at the BBC -- what right do they have to dump their European slanted programming on good ol' Americans. I've gotta do something else, the nonsense and unintelligible remarks on this forum are just too much!

CNN chief medical correspondent Dr Sanjay Gupta would be considered too ethnic for Univision
