I believe that is the part andreabeth was commenting to.

In the US, as an American citizen, I'm an American. See how that works?

No no, I don't think that's what she meant at all.

Well, you see, it's like this. If someone from France legally emigrates to the US and becomes a US citizen, I doubt that this person would say 'In America, I'm French'. Or if a person from Japan becomes a US citizen, I don't think they would say 'In America, I'm Japanese'. Get it?

As strange as it might sound to you, every time I ask someone "What are you?" They might respond, "Oh I'm German and french, I'm Irish and Italian, I'm Puerto Rican and Columbian, I'm Mexican and White"

Who does that? Does anyone else here ask people "What are you"? That is so strange to me - if someone asked me "what are you" I would have to ask for clarification and also why they want to know.

If people didn't know what I was talking about, they wouldn't respond. Basically meaning their heritage. The only people who respond "My heritage is American", are the people who don't know.

If they allowed that they would risk being stuck with having to pay taxes to feed, educate, house and provide jobs for them. They've probably been dancing in their palaces on a daily basis for the last 10 years at the idea of dumping Mexico's poverty stricken baggage on the US.

This fact is so obvious, even Stevie Wonder can see it. Why do you think they are stealing identities, pimping their anchor babies, clawing and scratching to do all that they can to cram themselves down the throats of America. It's beyond pathetic.
LOL, "even Stevie Wonder can see it"

Seriously, they must think we are all blind, crippled and crazy to fall for the daily load of BS and sob stories they keep regurgitating.

You actually go around asking strangers, "What are you?"
