A judge has dismissed the case of an illegal immigrant facing deportation after ruling that federal agents violated his rights during a work site raid in Van Nuys in 2008.
Los Angeles immigration Judge A. Ashley Tabaddor issued a written decision that agents failed to follow their own regulations when they detained Gregorio Perez Cruz without reasonable suspicion that he was an illegal immigrant.
The judge also determined that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents failed to advise Perez Cruz of his rights and interrogated him in an "intimidating and coercive environment," where he was deprived of food and water for 18 hours and forced to sleep on a concrete floor.
Perez Cruz's attorney, Ahilan Arulanantham, said the 19-page decision could affect dozens of other immigration cases of workers arrested at Micro Solutions Enterprises.
Yea what's the problem with him being treated like an animal? Any decent human being would agree with the judge on this one.
His ‘alleged’ treatment should not change his illegal status, or his deportation order. I dare say; an illegal in Mexico would consider this very humane by comparison.
He had a source of fresh water. Big deal. I go longer than that without eating all the time. If I skip dinner that means the last time I ate was 12 noon. If I don't eat until 9 or so the next day it's been almost 24. What a wuss.
So the IA, even though still here illegally, not eligible for a green card, will not be forced to leave. Was the IA using a stolen identity to work at Micro Solutions? Will Micro Solutions be fined for hiring illegals? What a judge? What a government? What a country?
This and a million more reasons why they inspire hatred. They should be forced to change their name to the "Illegal Alien Aiding and Abetting Union".
