So, are you implying that illegal aliens employed in agricultural labor should be ignored? Our society should pick and choose which laws to enforce and which people are subjected to such laws?

I think that we should enforce our immigration laws with a vengeance... Their blatant disregard for our laws, our rights and the harm they do justifies a no compassion no mercy approach.

That’s right! Even a judge and jury tend to show mercy when the accused is genuinely remorseful. Illegals not only have no remorse, they actually enjoy fleecing us. It’s like a sick game.

How many of them have been deported multiple times? I would wager a few of them. I am tired of our lawmakers/police force allowing these people to break our laws. If I as a citizen break a law, I go to jail or at least have my record reflect it.

Illegal farm workers are a mere drop in the bucket. There are at most 2 million total jobs in agriculture, the government's own website claims less than half of that. Not all farm workers are illegal aliens because of the very high number of green cards given out, it's estimated that only about 25% are here illegally. That's about 500,000 individuals -- at most.

You almost could ignore them, they are a rather insignificant portion of the problem:

Agricultural Workers (http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos285.htm#emply - broken link)

Agricultural workers held about 859,000 jobs in 2006More

This includes citizens working in agriculture, the large number of green card holders here on green cards because they are farm workers and some illegals.

DHS: Fact Sheet: H-2A Temporary Agricultural Worker Program (http://www.dhs.gov/xnews/releases/pr_1202308216365.shtm - broken link)

There are no annual limitations on the number of temporary foreign H-2A workers that may be admitted into the United States. However, under the current DOL labor certificationprocess, employers must certify that U.S. workers are not available to perform this work before they may hire a nonimmigrant worker. They must also certify that the wages and working conditions meet regional standards.

There is already a process in place that brings in any needed agricultural workers. No limitations on how many can be brought in to fill those job needs.
