Implementation of DHS Secure Communities Initiative: $14.0 million and 172 positions (44 attorneys) to implement a Department of Homeland Security initiative, Secure Communities, which will significantly increase EOIR’s [Executive Office for Immigration Review] workload. This funding will enable EOIR to staff 28 additional Immigration Judge Teams. Secure Communities represents a new comprehensive approach to remove all criminal aliens held in the United States prisons and jails. The DHS enforcement activity, particularly as it relates to the Secure Communities Initiative, will have significant ramifications for EOIR, adding tens of thousands of additional cases and appeals to an already burgeoning workload. Immigration and Customs Enforcement received $200 million in FY 2008 to begin Secure Communities. The funding requested for EOIR will ensure that EOIR has sufficient resources to adjudicate cases in a timely manner. The requested program increase will also establish a baseline for this initiative.
I'll believe this when I see it. Meanwhile, it would profit us to remember that even if SOME of these folks DO get deported, it's not a 'death sentence'. They're not going to prison; they're not going to where they'll be persecuted, put in concentration camps, or beaten. They're not going to a place where they don't know the language or the culture. And they're certainly not being 'condemned to Hell'., nor are their 'lives going to be ruined'.
They're going home, to where they CAME from, and that will be all we 'require' of them. ALL lawbreakers should be so lucky. No fine, no penalty, no jail time....just go home.

If the US government can guarantee that they will uphold every single law on the books and severely punish anyone attempting to re-enter illegally, then I'd be ok with all 20 million of them returning home with the stipulation of never crossing our border illegally again.

Like Obama will let any of these future 2012 Election voters slip out of his borders. Ya right!
The legal hispanic population never had the numbers to elect him. While they voted for him in large numbers, their numbers coupled with that of blacks and the illegal alien voters is what sealed the election in his favor.
Fast forward: Whether LaRaza, Obama and the rest of the amnesty zealous demoncrats like it or not, the toilet bowel circling economy, the collapsing of banks and the housing industry, coupled with America's skyrocketing unemployment and eviction rates are front and center to be dealt with.
The anger of millions of unemployed, homeless Americans is far more effective and palpable than the squeeky wheels of the ethnocentric racist and illegal aliens demanding to be greased. After all LaRaza and the rest of the ethnocentric groups are on the payroll of America's businesses and taxpayers, not the other way around. Thus, time and the lack of tax dollars to further fuel their delusions of racial superiority and grandier is on our side and the ball remains in our court. There will be no talk of amnesty unless and until the borders are legitmately secured and the majority of the American people's lives go back to their former state of blissful ignorance.
IMHO, it will take at least a 2 terms for any of the aforementioned to happen.

Just pray. January 2010 (when the new congress starts) will likely result in some Republican gains (since Obama wont be running for re-election, Dem's will vote in their traditional low-turnout style). Just hold on until then. If Republicans make some gains...no amnesty will pass.
