"Every time you push the envelope you are really pushing the individual into a situation that umm has more potential for tragedy." WTF???

Is this guy trying to say that every time the US tries to increase its border security and stops illegal immigration, that we are FORCING illegals to put their lives in danger?

So I guess we should just open the borders and say, "Come on down(err up)!"

LOL. Let's just open up the borders and let every illegal flow northward.

Notice that he NEVER mentioned suggesting that Mexico take responsibility for itself and clean up the place to be decent enough to live in for its poor, so that people won't have to become illegal aliens.

Boo-friggity-hoo. Now it’s our fault they are “forced to find” more creative (and dangerous) ways to illegally enter our country. Notice how many times the anchor referred to them as “immigrants.”

Main Entry: im·mi·grant
Pronunciation:\ˈi-mə-grənt\
Function:noun
Date:1789
: one that immigrates: as a: a person who comes to a country to take up permanent residence b: a plant or animal that becomes established in an area where it was previously unknown
— immigrant adjective

immigrant - Definition from the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary

The definition of immigrant , according to merriam-webster, does not take into consideration the legality of the subject in question. Illegal aliens and Legal Permanent Residents are both immigrants.

Ah yes, the continuously used tactic that you pro-illegals use to confuse legal immigrants and illegal aliens to justify illegal immigration and suppress any opposition to illegal migration.

Kinda like we are ALL "Americans" too.

Yet Canadians figure themselves to be Canadian.

Yeppers; the desperation of the pro illegal camp is becoming quite obvious

Oh well re: illegal aliens.

Perhaps an illegal from Guatemala can tell that crap to the Mexican Patrulla Frontera when caught.

Not really.

There are people who cross the border illegally who intend to return home in a short time. Some come illegally to work for a while to get over some financial hurdle but want to go home to their families -- at least at first they mean to get back home at some future point.

You can go into Mexico illegally and not be an immigrant at all. For one you might just do it because you didn't feel like getting the tourist visa but have no intention of staying forever there. For another if they find out you're there illegally, they'll toss you out and ban you from re-entry for 10 years.
