They were fined just $40,000. Yes, that’s quite a deterrent for a billion dollar enterprise.

HAMILTON -- Krispy Kreme Doughnuts has agreed to pay a $40,000 fine for hiring illegal immigrants at a plant in Butler County.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says it inspected a Krispy Kreme facility in Monroe after the Butler County sheriff's office reported that dozens of unauthorized workers were employed there. Authorities say ICE's 2007 investigation showed the company did not have required paperwork for all workers at the plant.

does krispy kreme pay this or just that one franchise?where as it would hurt the franchise but certainly not krispy-----we need to do this EVERYWHERE! be nice if we could figure out what they paid illegals or close to it and make pay that ammount in taxes immediately then fine them. just need to make employers scared to hire them!
