I don't care if they take the jobs , if their lazy or collecting welfare... if their here illegally they shoud be gathered up and sent back period ! If I break a law I have to pay the reprecussions. If I break a speeding law, I get a ticket, if I kill someone I go to prison... so they are in a sense tresspassing so send em back !
We cannot escape our destiny, nor should we try to do so. The leadership of the free world was thrust upon us two centuries ago in that little hall of Philadelphia. In the days following World War II, when the economic strength and power of America was all that stood between the world and the return to the dark ages, Pope Pius XII said, “The American people have a great genius for splendid and unselfish actions. Into the hands of America God has placed the destinies of an afflicted mankind.”
And how stand the city on this winter night? More prosperous, more secure, and happier than it was eight years ago. But more than that; after two hundred years, two centuries, she still stands strong and true on the granite ridge, and her glow has held steady no matter what storm. And she's still a beacon, still a magnet for all who must have freedom, for all the pilgrims from all the lost places who are hurtling through the darkness, toward home.
We've done our part. And as I walk off into the city streets, a final word to the men and women of the Reagan revolution, the men and women across America who for eight years did the work that brought America back. My friends: We did it. We weren't just marking time. We made a difference. We made the city stronger. We made the city freer, and we left her in good hands. All in all, not bad, not bad at all.
Um, did you ever think that both are happening? Employment of illegal immigrants is happening all across the board and for those who haven't found work or who have more children than they can afford are receiving assistance. So, I really don't understand the point of this thread. There are so many undocumented people here that they are dabbling in both problems: taking jobs from legal workers and also costing states and the federal government a lot of funding/money.
