If you have well water in IL, have you noticed how lousy the water has been since our earthquake? Ours has been brownish ever since. Anyone else?

My parents said the same thing, for about 3-4 days their water was very dirty. It has since settled and is back to normal.

Well water is lousy in general. Our town had the option to switch to Lake Michigan water, but once again idiots who look at the now and not the future decided it would be best to try and improve our well system. It's dirty water, and probably not even good for our health to boot.

The next town I move to will be hooked up to lake water. I lived in the western burbs growing up and the water quality was terrible even though it was not well water. I remember going to my gramma's in Berkeley and drinking gallons of her water it tasted so good.

Our well water is not lousy, and we feel blessed because of it. It has been tested and is much safer than "city" water that has all of the harsh chemicals that have to kill everything off of it to make it suitable for human consumption.

We didn't have any problems with our water after the quake.
