Peru's claim to fame has something to do with where the circus 1st started way back in early days of Indiana.

Logansport High School nickname is the Loganberries. The Wabash River flows thru Logansport. The demographics in Logansport might possibly have changed more than any city in Indiana since 1970.

Kokomo is like Marion, Anderson, Richmond, New Castle and Muncie without Ball State.

That's really about all I know about Peru and Logansport and Kokomo.

I wouldn't be concerned about gangs in either one of those towns, too small and too country. That's only an issue in the larger cities. Otherwise I don't know much about them.

Recently drove through Logansport actually. About 18,000 or so people. It felt like it used to be a small manufacturing town of some sort, pretty old and decently urban for a town its size. It looks like in the last few decades the town has fallen on hard times, some neighborhoods are a little worse for wear. However, I still don't think crime and especially gang activity would be an issue in Logansport. It bears mentioning that the town has been shrinking for several decades now, lack of jobs in the area? I'm not quite sure.
