Been reading about good and bad parts of FW and wonder if anyone is familiar with the area 4-6 blocks north of E. State Boulevard in the vicinity of Charlotte Avenue. I believe the zipcode is 46805. Is this far enough away from the SE part of the city to be considered okay for residential by an older couple?

We haven't actually been to this area yet and are wondering if it's within a walk of stores, hardware, grocery, etc.?

Will appreciate all input.

OK, I should have posted this in the Fort Wayne subdivision. If anyone wants to move the thread there that would be great. Thanks

That's my zip code!! I love my neighborhood. The people tend to keep to themselves. We go walking and bike riding every night, it's safe and quiet, very quiet. We have a relatively big park and what's called the Lakeside Rose Garden. OMG is it gorgeous around July.
