Hi, We are moving to Indy (yeah!) and need to purchase range, vent, refrigerator, dishwasher, washer and dryer. Can anyone give recommendations for places to get a good buy on these appliances both new and used? THanks so much!

We have always gotten good price and delivery from HH Gregg for our appliances. I also like Clark. Both of them do basic and high end.

Used, no idea.

Our last refrigerator is an LG and it is fantastic. Almost a nonenergy user and a good price.

Used would be something like Goodwill, Craig's List, garage sales....which will be hit or miss. Clark has a place out on the east-side at I-70 and Post Rd.. They have closeouts here and claim to offer some good discounts.

Default Appliances

Sears has an appliance outlet on Crawfordsville Rd. in Speedway. You can get some deeply discounted new stuff that might have been a floor model or might have a scratch or dent but will work perfectly fine.

Craigslist can also have some great deals, albeit hit or miss. It's worth checking at least.

Thank all of you for the great leads. I will check out HH Gregg and Clarks, and very excited about the Sears scratch and dent center!! I need to do two kitchens so looking to save where possible without sacrificing on quality. Thanks also for the reco on the LG refrigerator. I have heard positive things about their appliances. We cannot wait to get settled there!
