Yeah, quite a bit of data -- would go through a whole stack of 5.25 floppies in no time.
The sheer quantity of those and 3.5's was amazing. I had drawers dedicated to holding just disks, and when the 5.25's would get jammed in a little too tight you had to run the edges along a sharp corner on the desk to open them back up again or the disk wouldn't spin.
OTOH USB drives are easier to lose...
