Did they just change Google Maps or did they change Google Earth as well?? I enjoyed the ability to get street views of different locations, is this feature gone?

They seem to have integrated Google Earth with Maps so that you get the Earth image--which was taken with less resolution--than the previous systems that took the Maps images.

Looks like a distorting wide angle view on the street views....much inferior to before.

Google used to be the best, but not anymore.

I don't see the huge change here other than it's almost full-screen-ish... is that what we're talking about here?

It's more sloppy in operation and the Google Earth satellite imagery is of far less quality that the previous satellite imagery they used.

It's like they don't want us using it any more.
What once was highly intuitive and convenient is completely gone.
Is there a way to have the prior set up?

As for mail and compose window issues use their smtp server with a separate mail app.

I want to keep the original, too. The only problem I have is sometimes the map expands too much or I am looking at a magnified street sidewalk, but I am getting used to it and I don't want to have to deal with anything new for a while. Oh, a little off topic, but my google search page font has lately shrunk by itself. It's already small enough, but now it is like such a small font and I didn't even do anything to make it like that. It's been like that for maybe the last two weeks or so. It is normal sometimes and then it's the tiny font but resetting Safari corrects it back to normal font (temporarily though). It's a real strain on the eyes.

There's a little ? at the bottom right corner. Gives you the option to return to original Google maps. Also gives you a chance to tell what you think of new one.

"Rather than mention it... let's hide the answer"

Thanks for the heads up.
