If I am getting internet, cable TV, and maybe phone service from TWC, do I need to have a phone jack prewired into the house? Or does the phone service provide a jack in the modem or similar?
If the TWC cable modem provides all 3 services, the modem will have an RJ-11 jack for phone service. If it needs extended to another location for the phone itself, is another issue.
Ideally the jack can be wired into any existing house phone wiring, so you can re-use any existing jacks. The house wiring will need to be disconnected from the old incoming landline at the existing demarcation block or NID.
