You can start with Google webmaster account, that will give you information on what pages Google has indexed and if it hasn't been indexed will get it indexed.
If you have just started the website then it will take a couple weeks for it to show up under most circumstances. Like thecoalman said, start a Google webmaster account which is free and will use the same Google/Gmail account you use forthe site if you have one. You can then go into the submit a URL form in webmasters and submit all the pages you want indexed and Google will go crawl them and they will get indexed quicker.
You can also go to Google search and type in site:PUT YOUR DOMAIN URL HERE (site:example.com) and it will show you what pages if any are actually in the Google index. Sometimes they are there but take a while to get up the rankings, even if you search for the site itself. It takes time to go up the Google search results pages. Any time you add a new post or page to the site submit it through the webmasters tools asap so Google will know about the page as quick as possible.
Thanks guys. It looks like most of the pages are indexed by google. I just started the website a few days ago, but found it weird that even googling the exact name of the organization did not show any results.
Do you know what Google Analystics is? Great tool for monitoring traffic. That, or Bing Tools if you're a MS guy, should be in every web masters toolkit.

A lot of hosts also provide good log analyzers as well.
I used SquareSpace, which uses google analytics. But honestly I have no clue on what its for other than to see how many people come to your site every day.

It takes a little time before even googling the exact name for it to show up sometimes. The more traffic the site gets the faster it will climb the search results pages. The more visitors it gets then google sees it as being more relevant to the search terms and it will climb the results pages. Promote your site and get people to come check it out and the results will improve. Just make sure not to do anything Google considers "Spammy" to get people to visit your site or it will never get a good search result showing.
