Looks like the Speedtest.net folks have a new test in beta that tests other aspects of your internet connection like "jitter", packet loss, etc.

My results seem quite good, I guess:

The characteristics this test measures matter more for real-time uses like gaming and VoIP. For web surfing, a little latency and jitter shouldn't ruin your day.
