Put $750 on Ethereum
Put $150 on Bitcoin
Put $100 on Litecoin

We will see what happens. It is throw away money and I thought I would take a chance. Hopefully I at least make my money back. I think Bitcoin is too hot and Ethereum or another Crypto will be the one to rise.

Will update this thread periodically.

Good luck to you!

I bought $20,000 in a bitcoin ETN (GBTC last week), I’m up 68% already. John McAfee says butcoin will go to $1 million by 2020 haha, so we’ll see. I plan to just let this sit regardless, although it will be hard not to sell if it goes much higher. I wish I had bought more, oh well hindsight is always 20/20. I was going to buy to make my total investment $50,000 earlier today when it was up 18%, but it ended up going up 28%, so I didn’t. My current value is around $34,000 in GBTC.

I personally think it's too late for the cypto currency train. Not that I think it is a good investment in the first place, but back in 2011... 1k for 100k+ is worth the gamble. There are plenty perfectly good companies out there worth investing in. At this point it doesn't seem like the reward will be worth the risk, while there are other sound investments available. but that's just my two cent. but good luck!!!

Hey! If McAfee is right, Bitcoin will still go up 5,000+% !!! lol I’d be shocked beyond words if that ever happened, but ehh it’s a gamble I’m willing to take. I could lose 100% of my investment and still be up over six figures this year, so it’s okay for a chance to turn it into a million.

I wouldnt have bought bitcoin because I didnt trust it, but I possible would have bought a small amount if I knew there was a ETN Icould have bought right from my stock account. If you want to buy a share, you can buy GBTC, it’s trading around $3,200 per share. It’s still very risky, but instituional buyers are now starting, so I think it sill has more room to run before crashing.

That's what I thought when my friends were telling me about it in September, only it was more like "lol. $4k for one bitcoin.". Still, they were smart guys and pretty enthusiastic about it, so I took a shot with some BTC, ETH and LTC. At the very least, it motivated me to learn more about the technology, which I think could have a big future ahead of it regardless of how these individual currencies play out.

Nice! When do you plan on pulling out? Do you have a specific number?

In my dream world, McAfee is right. I have 2 rental properties with mortgages. One for $107K and one for $132K. It would be VERY hard to resist pulling it out to pay off a mortgage.

(It would be hard to resist pulling it out for a cool Tesla, too)
