Just be careful with HitBtc, many people were not able to get their funds off the exchange in the last week. Only possible way was to convert your altcoins into ltc and then send it to your wallet or a different exchange (probably due to the fast transaction times compared with btc and eth), that's what I did and it worked. ETH and BTC withdrawls were not possible, ETH wallets were even blocked for more than 3 days. I for one will not use this exchange anymore.

Can the segwit2X coins be sold on Binance? Or do I have to create another account? This would be a major hassle.

Most likely Binance will allow trading of Segwit2X, however worst case scenario they will credit your account and you may have to send it elsehwere.

YoBit and HItBTC are kind of thought of as being lesser exchanges than say BIttrex and Binance and those typically carry almost everything so worst case scenario you'll have to send your B2X over there and sell them but I have a feeling Binance will allow trading, only time will tell though.

I would suggest getting a couple exchanges anyway, you never know when an exchange is going to drop a coin ie Safex was recently dropped by Bittrex, also maybe there's a coin you want that Binance doesn't have so nice to be able to go elsewhere and get it. Setting up accounts is fairly simple and painless

I've mentioned a couple times throughout this post that it could be instant, it could take a couple days, in the case of Bitcoin Gold it took weeks. They have to check to make sure replay protection is in place, have to make sure the network is secure, etc. Keep an eye on it as most likelyt he first person to sell will get the most. Anyone who wanted to have first shot at selling should have sold futures on HitBTC.

doodlemagic- Binance is a bit confusing. I bought some Ripple today but cannot see where it shows it on my account. Do you know how to find this? Is there a portfolio page somewhere?

Thanks. I found it, but you have to manually type in XRP. There is no central portfolio that shows what you own in your account.

Do you know the ticket symbol for Segwit2x? Online it says B2X, but I am unable to find anything with that ticker symbol on Binance.
