Are you not aware of the historical (last 85-90 years) performance of the stock market with democratic president?

I agree with you, but I have this taped to my monitor. "past performance is not indicative of future results."

Yup. Meanwhile, there's money to be made. I would much prefer no sugar high because of an increased deficit and a more sane approach than the automatic knee-jerk GOP playbook of "tax cuts" which every smart money man says will have little impact on economic growth. But the Republicans know only one song - steal money from the Treasury for the purpose of providing tax cuts to their donors - so it is what it is. Major correction even more certain and probably coming sooner, but not for a while yet. Meanwhile, my portfolio loves it. Just gotta be nimble when the sh*t finally does hit the fan.

When you Debbie Downers discover the secret date to exit the market, please let us know! Meanwhile, we're skirting a 25K Dow and it's raining money!

That's only half of the challenge. The other half is adroitly guessing when to reenter the market. Plenty of people end up being right, about when to bail from a frothy market. But by the time that they decide that sensible valuations have returned, the market has already passed the former point, at which they'd bailed. That is precisely the predicament of those who accurately called the top of the US market in 2007, who didn't reenter the market until say last year.

I'd predict about a 8% rise from the 2017 close.

I'd rather expand debt by letting people and companies keep more of their money vs spending more money on welfare programs and donating to countries around the world who hate us. Both parties spend money and increase the debt, so I'd rather keep more of my money so I can grow it. Nowadays, Liberal cities are paying the legal fees for illegals using tax dollar money, it's ridiculous. I used to call myself a Democrat, it's sad how far left the party has gone.
