Yes, it is free, but is our money safe? Has anyone used the services of RobinHood?

The drawbacks seem to be many. In addition, there are no ROTH IRA options thusfar.

I resisted using Robinhood for a very long time over the same concerns. They are however a completely legitimate broker with the same types of protection. I actually ended up liking their app better than TD. It's more responsive, has a better layout and is generally very user friendly. Don't get me wrong, I still use the more advanced tools TD offers before trading. Aside from free trades, I liked the big graph at the top with both absolute and percentile info on my entire account. Something that I couldn't seem to find anywhere else.

The only issue I had with robinhood was my dividends not being added to my available balance. Other than that they've been fine.

free options attracted me. I haven't used it much yet. completely lacking any type of real charting and I am seeing some strange temporary option pricing but I am gonna try using it for a while.
