One other thing I forgot to mention ... I'm still staying away from financials. China's inflating asset bubbles and is spending massive amounts of money on public works projects to prop up their 8% / year growth rate. The US' financial industry is still reeling from falling house values, and both the US and Europe has way too much exposure to risky markets around the world.

If I were to risk it, which I won't, I'd bet on companies with a SE Asian presence. Some textiles manufacturers are moving out of China into poorer countries (since $4/hr is much more than $1/hr) where any investment is welcome and corrupt governments are lax on enforcing environmental laws.

In 2009, I did very well working the same stocks ........ SNDK, AKS, HIG, PALM, PCS, JRCC, DRYS, etc.

I would buy them, write a covered call, maybe get called out, maybe rewrite. Then, after (eventually getting called out) I would wait till they pulled back and go back in again.

My return on capital employed is around 45% which I am pretty happy with. So, for 2010, I plan to employ the same strategy.

The only stock I own is the company I work and that is Comcast because I get 15% off per share. The rest I own are the Mutual Funds.

If I buy like 1 share on like 100 companies, is that considered diversified?

I would say Sirius XM because it is priced way too low right now.
