Something worth watching:
Jackson Jambalaya: Oxford House & local couple are moving recovering addicts into NE Jackson homes.

I knew this would end up on here eventually! But this is absurd, considering that the people that are doing this LIVE in NE Jackson! But I have faith in the community, because the neighbors are having a field day and rightfully so! If they can stop the Colonial Country Club redevelopment dead in it's tracks, then I have faith that they will stop this too!

Stop it? Really?

You realize this is just the latest Oxford House to open in NE Jackson and Eastover? According to their website, there are 5 or 6 other of these houses open since 2013. Someone hasn't been paying attention for a few years...

7 adults, ex drug addicts and ex prisoners, living in a small home, in a working class neighborhood with children. What's wrong with those mean neighbors!! Bunch of selfish jerks.

Well supposedly there isn't any open in NE Jackson anywhere, because if there were people would have noticed back now! But they DO wanna buy numerous houses through NE Jackson. They responded to the community today by trying to say that it isn't gonna be a halfway house or anything like that, which is obviously BS to shut people up. Jackson Jambalaya: The Stephens respond

Of course it's a halfway house. Seven men in a three bedroom home will be sooooo wonderful for the neighborhood.

These are all houses that they WANT to move these people into! I don't understand why they can't all be over on Clinton Blvd! The property values over there are in the toilet, and don't seem to be coming back anytime soon. Why put them in neighborhoods where the property values are high, the neighborhoods are safe, & there's children in them. I'm not saying that there aren't children in the neighborhoods off of Clinton Blvd, but there are more criminals over there than there are in NE Jackson.

They are already living in the homes.

Why would they have 7/2 beds/vacancies, 6/1 b/v, 6/2 etc.

The Northside Dr location is 7 beds and 7 vacancies. It's the only one people aren't currently living in.
