It's cold, so the snakes are no longer on-the move. And the alligators are slumbering in their swamps. But just when you think it's safe to go back out into the yard, something like this comes along: Buzzards surround home on Oak Creek | WJTV News 12 , just sitting there, "...like chickens in the yard".

Thank you for the Vulture facts. I knew nothing about the creatures until now. A fascinating and critical part of our delicately balanced biological community. I didn't realize that they are raptors.

Was fun to watch them cavorting on that lady's roof! What a surprise for the neighborhood.
