It would be nice to see some blue water this summer. Where's the closest beach that typically has blue water? I haven't seen any so far around JAX.

You won't see truly blue water here. You have to head South for that. The farther South you go the better. I don't know which beach would be the closest.

The ocean in JAX is disgusting. The water starts to get nice around West Palm Beach IMO

We were at Flagler Beach in January and the water was quite blue at that time.

We were also on the hunt for blue water for Spring Break and were told you pretty much had to get down towards Miami to see it. I think West Palm Beach would be about right and on the gulf coast, somewhere near Sarasota. We were considering Clearwater, but I heard the water isn't so clear!

Jekyll Island, GA is only 1 1/2 hrs and Hilton Head, SC is only 3 hrs. What about those? Anybody been there? How are they? I went to Jekyll Island as a kid. I don't remember much about it, but I had fun.
