It depends what you like. Do you like quiet beaches, crowded beaches, sandy beaches or ones covered with shells?

My favorites are Jax Beach and Ponte Vedra Beach. Jax Beach is usually quite busy, bars close by - Ponte Vedra is a more quiet beach. Both are nice.

Atlantic Beach is alright too, busier than P.Vedra, yet not as busy as Jax Beach.

If I want quiet, I go to Hanna Park or Guana Park:

Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park

Guana Tolomato Matanzas Reserve, Florida

For more action, Jax Beach .

Talbot Island is nice as well. During high tides, little shallow pools of water form between the sand bars and heat up like a sauna. There is nothing like it.

Yes, Guana Park for quiet but I'm a little wary of beaches that are too quiet. I hate to be the only one on the beach.

an empty beach is a great way to wake up dead.

Wow. I love the beaches when they are empty. Tough crowd this morning. How about a little pick me up with a Burma Shave ad for Jax:

When looking at beaches
Be careful where you head
It's nice to have peace
But please don't wind up dead

I personally prefer Anastasia State Park or Huguenot Memorial Park for beaches

Tough crowd indeed ! Besides, isn't it mainly lovers and spouses who kill people on the beach around here? Just leave them at home and you're fine
