FSCJ has 5 campuses. We have experience with two: Kent Campus on Hwy 17/Park Ave, and South Campus on Beach Blvd. Neither had any issues.

I've had experience at Downtown and South Campus. Both are perfectly fine.

Downtown Campus is near a large bus transfer station, so you might see some trashy people around, but statistically downtown is one of the safer neighborhoods in the entire city.

i cosign what Joe and maw said. overall you have many campuses to choose from and the answer would probably be no to everyone of them. i've been to downtown, kent, northside, and deerwood. all are fine as far as safety. but if you are one of those people who get skittish from superficial surroundings then downtown would be your last pick as there is a central bus station and a homeless shelter near by. but for there that matter there are also two of the largest churches in the jville area right across the street as well as government buildings, a city park, and well known bbq place. the other campuses are more secluded and quiet though.
