we are thinking of relocating to the area next summer and reading all the posts i am concerned about the job market. what can anybody tell me about the the cnc machining job market in the area?

You can go to one of the major job websites (Monster/Careerbuilder) and find out. Just looked.....found 1 ad for a CNC operator in the Sunday newspaper. From our travels around Jax, I have seen very few machine shops. As in many areas of the U.S., the job situation is not good and Jax is no exception!
Wife and I are struggling right now to find full-time jobs!

thanks for the info i found a list online of shops but that doesnt mean the market is good. i know jobs are hard to find everywhere so good luck
