I'm visiting St. Marys Georgia via Jacksonville. I'd prefer to take an Uber or Taxi there instead of driving a rental car, but I'm wondering if that is doable? Not worried about cost, just wondering if drivers would refuse to go that far away from the airport and cross state lines. And wondering if I could get an Uber / Taxi back from St Marys to the airport. Thanks.

I am pretty sure cabs and Uber drivers can cross state lines. I had a colleague once stuck in a snowstorm who ended up having to take a cab across two state lines in the dead of winter. With Uber that would only be around $50 or so.

That can change greatly on a busy day. I have paid over $75 just to get from Southside to the beach on a weekend. That may be 15 miles. I would imagine during a prime time your suggested trip could cost much much more. No one is driving 150 miles for $50-70. And if they do I would be highly suspect of the driver/car.

Can You Cross State Lines In An Uber?

You can!

The only thing to know is that Uber drivers can only pick up in their home state.
