I currenly put the name of the school I went to on one line and the degree I got on the second line in smaller font. For jobs, I put the company name on one line and then my title on the line below it in smaller font.
I'm wondering if I should reverse that:
currently:
UNIVERSITY XYZ
Bachelor of Arts, Major in Abc
I'm thinking to change it to:
BACHELOR OF ARTS, MAJOR IN ABC
University Xyz
The schools or the companies aren't the most top rated or well known...meaning it's not Harvard.
I do it the way you are (company name first) and I include the dates justified on the right margin. I feel this gives that portion a kind of block feel. I find it saves a line by not having the dates take their own line. I try hard to keep my resume on one page.
