Hi. I would love any advice! I worked 15 years for a big box retail company. I worked as an Assistant Manager, Loss Prevention Manager and HR Manager. I ended up changing jobs and started working as an Animal lab technician. found out they were closing down at the end of November. I spent the time studying for my certification and took the exam . I passed. I have gone on interviews. I was offered a job at a major university but it only offered $13.90. I have been offered a job at other places but for $14. I just don't know what do with my resume. I can't survive on $14 on a hour. I am a single parent and my rent is $1700. Please advise.

Apply at trader joes..they have decent benefits and with your experience as a manager you could be on the fast track to becoming one there.

Where do you live and how big is your place? Where I am at you could easily cut your rent in half.

How much were you making at the big box store? Can you go back to one of them?

Take a job that pays $14 and keep looking. Better than being unemployed.
