Let me to explain you what is my current situation... Last week I have been contacted for an interview for Supply Chain position in the city I am living and studying my Masters Degree (only final thesis to finish it). This is a traineeship of 6 months but with expectations to being hired in a full time job. Then, I had the first interview in the company offices with a Manager. This company is from Australia, that means from a serious country, is an international company of logistics/transport, high presence in Europe. He told me that it will take 3 weeks to know the results since there were 2 other candidates, but HR contacted me the same day telling me that the Manager really liked my professional profile and I would be doing a second interview the following day by phone with another Manager. I got the call, I was even at street but I could do the interview without any problems, at the end, the Manager told me: "I like it, you are hired, be welcome". Now I am in the process to submit all documentation and I would start on 6th August. I am a Chemical Engineer, with no background in Supply Chain but exhausted and angry with Process/Project Engineering positions that are quite unreliable at least here in my country and where I am living now.

This week I have been contacted twice, the first one for a position as Project Engineer in a hydroelectric power plant tender in one of the best spanish engineering companies (Acciona) but the job would be for 4 months and if the tender would be approved, I may continue to develop the engineering of the project just some months, obviously I have to pass an entire selection process, that seems to be hard. I have just been contacted through Linkedin by HR that they have a position as Chemical Engineer in a big company (confidential), they need a Chemical Engineer right now, if I am interested, etc... submit your CV... we will be in touch with you soon...

The fact is that I am not even impressed, I have lived this before but turned to be a fail... and I want to ensure a job RIGHT NOW, I don't want to screw, I don't even care if this is not the job of the year, I need money and work at this moment. Yes, the last ones are in engineering companies, sound really interesting but as you told to me tons of times, unless you have a job offer is nothing but opportunities. How I know what are my chances to land a job in the last ones? What would you do? Please, tell me as soon as possible.

A million of thank you very much in advance!

A bird in the hand is STILL worth two in the bush.

Can't comment on all the technical details you've given. At some level they don't matter. FWIW, you can over-analyze this sort of decision all you want, but the reality is you need the job right? You can get so wound up in your own head that you can't make a decision. Based on all the threads you create about your job searches and all your anxiety I think this is where you stand. Nothing is going to get better unless you face the fact that NO JOB opportunity is going to be perfect. There will ALWAYS be some aspect of it you don't like or want. NONE of them are life sentences. MOST of them will make your position a little better than it was before. You could talk yourself out of each one over and over again, but eventually something has to give.

Thank you for your support. At this time I need a job urgently so I will focus on what I can get rather than opportunities with a big uncertainty and leave them in the background in case the first one fail. I would say... The first: 95% success, The second and third: 5% success.
