It seems to be more about who you know rather than skills or experience, at least that is what I've seen.

I want my resume to be VERY, VERY good.........but, with no college degree and no kind of "certifications", my resume sure isn't "very, very good". But, when it gets me an interview, I can tell it's working!!!
