I have just recently bought tickets for a concert at Uptown Theater, and I heard that this isn't a very safe place? I am just wondering if that is true.

The Uptown is a popular venue and the surrounding area has become increasingly vibrant with bars, restaurants, hookah places, etc. Broadway is a fairly busy avenue. I have several friends that live within 2-3 blocks from the Uptown and enjoy the area and generally feel safe. I would feel safe walking around alone at night along Broadway.

This. Totally safe. Just don't get wasted and wonder off into some dark alley alone and you will be fine.

TOTALLY SAFE? You do a disservice. keep your eyes open and your head up is my advice. I think Broadway and Main are dumpy in that area, but it never stopped me from going to the Uptown.
