My husband and I are planning to put our house (in Western MA) on the market this coming spring. We are looking forward to re-locating to Kentucky when it sells, preferably within the nexus of Louisville, Lexington, and Danville. What we'd like to do is close down our MA house & live in KY during the months of January & February, 2015, to explore possibilities, meet people, and generally get to know the area. There's only so much research anyone can do online! I should add that we do not have much money to spend on this project (as long as we're still paying mortgage & property tax & etc. on our MA property, anyway!) so we're not looking for anything fancy. If someone is looking for a house-sitter, or if there is some sort of arrangement that can be made through a real estate agency, or if there's any other opportunity for us to live somewhere at an affordable price for these two months, we'd be very grateful to hear about it! My husband and I are both responsible adults (I'm 62, he's 58). We do have two cats, who are as well-behaved as cats can be.
Many thanks in advance for any tips or suggestions --
Best regards,
Judith
