Stunning photos as always... I am ashamed to post mine that I took today!

Anyway, here they are....

I took these today (4-9-08) when it was 78°. Remember the late freeze last year? At this time last year, ALL of these trees in the first photo were full of leaves on April 5th and by the 10th, they had all frozen out! (SEE LAST PHOTO) They have been slower this year, thanks to a cooler late March and hopefully we will not see a destroying freeze like last April! Some areas in town are much more green than this... most trees in my area are "later leafing" trees". The Elms, early Oaks, Willows are all out nice now.

By the end of April, all of these trees are typically full of leaves and lush....

THIS was about a year ago... (note the destroyed foliage... thanks to THREE nights in the lower 20s that week!)

Thanks for sharing the pictures. Those of us who are not yet living in Tennessee always appreciate seeing pictures of your beautiful state. Your dog does not seem to be interested in the camera.

Default Great Pictures!

These pictures resemble the area my sister and brother-in-law live on Canton Road in Colonial Heights. Hopefully, this year The TriCities can recover from the drought started last year. My sister said she lost quite a few plants in her yard.

Our drought is over in Nashville, and I was hoping all this rain was making it up to your neck of the woods. According to my folks in Gray, when we get 4 inches out of a system here, it will only deliver about an inch in the Tri-Cities.

Anyway, keep posting the pictures! I love them!

Sincerely,
Buzz

Thanks Virgo...

Well, I guess since the trees are full, this will be my last "spring" photo update. I took these today... Looks so much nicer than last May, which was recovering from that horrible freeze in April 07'!

and one of the house in its spring mode...
