Hi

I am writing to ask if anyone could help me with the interview process at Eastman Chemical Company. I have an interview scheduled with them, a phone interview.

If you could please help me with any questions that are likely to be asked?

Any reply can help

ThankYou

What type of opening is this (such as "Business & Technical" or "Manufacturing")?

I suspect that a phone interview is a screening to determine only the most basic fit for the opening and to gauge the applicants level of interest. This might lead to an on site interview.

I am recently retired engineer from there. Engineers are the category "Business and Technical". I was involved with interviewing engineering candidates "on site" from time to time but I never did any telephone interviews.

From what I understand the phone interviews are, as I said, primarily screening to see if it is of benefit to the company and the candidate to perform an on-site interview (which can rather expensive). I rather expect that questions will focus mostly information already covered in the application/resume to further establish if there is a good fit in technical interests and experience. Many personal issue questions are strictly off-limits now and have been for years (race, religion, marital status, etc.) You might be questioned concerning hobbies or locational preferences.
