I moved here a few months ago, and don't know many people still. Does anyone know if there's any Rainbow Family around the area and if there's ever any gatherings or meetups in or near the area?

I have heard of a place, but details are sketchy. A guy from another company I work with occasionally told me about a place in Vestall which is in south knox. He said he had a friend who has been building a model town/camp ground, or whatever you want to call it for many years. He said a lot of rainbow people had set up camp out there. I don't know the exact location, all I know is that it is near a large housing project. I don't know the name, but maybe another poster more local than myself could help out with the name. I've been wanting to check the place out for a while

Yeah, I've heard something about that too, it seems like. My friends keep reassuring me there's Rainbows around, but it's apparently hard to run into them. Maybe this summer I'll have more luck, or maybe if I can make it to the regional in Kentucky. Last I really caught of many people in the area was back in 2005 when the pirate radio station (KFAR) was still going and the Katuah Earth First! was out and about, but I can't even get/find info about EF! for some reason, all the emails are dead. It's like everyone just disappeared in the last 5 years or so.

Just a thought. You might want to go over to the co-op on Broadway and check the bulletin board. It's pretty active.

You're speaking of Rollo Ridge, which has obtained a degree of celebrity now that a movie has been filmed about Rollo.

BUT I'm not sayin where it is as it doesn't need to be overrun with tourists.

If you are meant to find it you will.

Agreed. That's how places like this should be
