Well I'm looking to purchase a home along the Clinch River was wondering about the fishing. Also any other good bodies of water in which would be a good place to take the children fishing.

Fishing on the Clinch is wonderful!!! Big Browns , Brook and Rainbows are there for the taking. The water is extremely cold even in the middle of summer. I float it with friends ! You can put a kayak or canoe in below the dam and float for 11 miles to Clinton. I have a kayak club and we love the Clinch.

You'll find plenty of places to take kids fishing. The TWRA runs a lot of kids' fishing tournaments and even some lakes that are exclusively for family fishing. Those are mostly on the western half of the state.

There are also numerous creeks, small rivers, lakes, ponds, coves to fish in, some wild, some stocked.
