For those who are curious about their FY 2013 property taxes and don't want to wait until the bill arrives in the mail later this month, the info is available online as of this morning. (I have been checking because I want to pay my taxes before I leave town next week.) You've probably been able to estimate it anyway based on the assessments that were sent out earlier this year, but now the official amount is set and you can pay it as of today. The due date for the first installment is Aug. 20th, with the second installment due Oct. 1st. Of course, you can pay it all at once should you be so inclined.

Thanks for the heads up, I've been checking lately. Hmm mine went down a few dollars. It should have been more, by the time I bought my house the deadline had long passed to challenge it.

Good to know.

I'll do the "band-aid" payment plan. You know, that's where the tax is paid all at once so it's like ripping off a band-aid - painful, but it's all over.
