Among the newer construction, what is the best value for between 60-120k?
Purpose would be to rent first and to later use for vacation home.

Are there areas to avoid due to landfill, flooding, crazy people and so forth?
Are there areas to more easily rent out?
Were there years or places where the construction was a horror?
Places where there are good values?

Mostly interested in single family 3 bedroom homes (I think).

1200sf for an eventual vacation home isn't the worst.
Seen lots of examples of reduced home prices on realtor.com but I don't know if they have few people interested or if that was a way to start a bidding war.
Been in a few by the way. Missed a couple by 1k making me think some information was given out to friends on how to bid IMO.

Yes bidding wars. Cash is king in that price range! Loads of investors. I've been trying to buy in that range also with cash. (I'm a realtor also). There's always competition
