We will be moving to Henderson and will be new renters. Is it better to go through a rental agent to find a property; is there a fee involved or are we better off using Craigslist on our own? Haven't done this in awhile and are moving in from the midwest, so any suggestions (other than don't move here!)
are appreciated.

you have to be careful with Craigslist... there is alot of fraud out there.. there is no fee to use a renter's agent, however, there are application fees and such to be paid to the place you are wanting to rent.. as a renter's agent myself and a landlord i noticed one huge thing.. my rental was placed on the mls at 1000. per month, never got a bite.. then i put it on Craigslist at 1200... they were knocking down my doors to rent the place.. took less than 48hrs from time of listing to the home being rented.
