Residents of Las Vegas: Would you use a below grade heavy rail rapid transit system that is privately funded and built? Please just say yes, no, or depends on...This is not for people to find faults in it is simply a survey.

Depends on how safe, where it goes and how much it is.

I don't think anyone would feel safe using a mode of transport described as "below grade." So with just the info you provided the answer would be no.

It would be nice to see the mono-rail travel the entire strip.

Depends where it goes.

But why "heavy rail" - I thought such projects were usually "light rail"?

The New York, Chicago, parts of the LA, and parts of Philly are heavy. Light would be Seattle, Portland, and parts of the Boston systems.

I probably wouldn't use an underground rail system in an area highly prone to flash floods.
