Hi all, I just got a job with MGM Resorts Management Associate Program, which is for recent college graduates. I was told I need to acquire a gaming card before my first day of work, which is August 14th. They also told me I should have no problem getting it within a day or so. I've looked over the gaming commission website, but only found a 100 slide PowerPoint full of gobbledegook legalese. Can someone please explain this process to me in normal words? Thanks!!

(And if anyone is wondering I attended UGA, if my profile name isn't a dead giveaway)

You may want to talk to somebody in HR at MGM that knows what they are talking about. Gaming registration is initiated by the HR department of the resort. You will need to provide some personal information along with your registration fee. The information is transmitted either through the internet or fax. If HR wants you to provide the info via internet. HR then needs to provide you with your ID # and login for the NVGCB site. HR should also refer you to where to get fingerprinted and the GCB print form signed off that prints where obtained and sent off.

MGM, takes care of it for you, you just need to meet certain criteria, you need to go get finger printed at a licensed shop... and that's about it.

I don't understand.
MGM is a HUGE operation.
How did they not tell you the correct protocol?
They hire a ton of people every year.

Go down to the corner next to the Star Dust and see a guy named Bugsy and slide him a $50. He will take care of you!

Every HR department is staffed by people. People have been known to have attitudes on any give day at any given moment. Then of course in some cases some people just don't do their job correctly.
