Apparently the water park project publicized last year did not, in fact, dry up...

OK....to save you the time required to research all the threads.....[if you do look at MINE and Buzz's also]

Las Vegas Development is handled thusly....[ESPECIALLY when it pertains to water parks and to certain vacant properties.]
#1 Hire a starving Architecture student to produce a "Concept Drawing"
#2 Hire a starving PR flack to generate a press release.
#3 Release said 'press release' to the Las Vegas Sun because they will print anything.
#4 Using this 'package' [concept drawing. Press release AND Las Vegas sun article(because a newspaper article makes it sound legitimate)] Start soliciting investors.
#5 Book your flight to Aruba or somesuch place that does not have an extradition treaty with the US.

At some point, I would imagine that the fish in Lake Mead may object.

Henderson? Why Henderson?

So this is suppose to be for locals only? This should be a little closer to the strip to satisfy the locals and tourists. If this is for locals only then it should not be that big and elaborate.

It will be filled with 90% urine, the fish won't mind.

The park looks awesome!

There's a similar one in my city and I get a season pass every year. I love to go there and will miss it when I move away. If I decide to move to Las Vegas it's good to know I would have a similar park to spend summer days! The one here has a lazy river, waterslides, pool with a swim up bar, cabanas, etc. and a wave pool that opens next summer.

Just a point of reference: Wet 'n Wild was 27 acres, the new one at Ft. Apache/Warm spring will be 26 acres and, of course, this one 22.
