The problem with jambase is that it only scratches the surface of what's going on. You're not going to find any free (or dirt cheap) concerts on Jambase.
I use
Las Vegas Area Concerts and the Neon insert in the newspaper, and the weekly magazines for finding concerts. And occasionally, I'll see one on a billboard.

Another good site. It shows Deadmaus playing on Sept. 2-3. And thats not even a cheap/free show.
