Who is usual responsible for the cleaning or painting of the units door? I spoke with the management company and they told us we were. I thought the HOA was reasonable for everything on the outside.

The management company is there to collect the monthly HOA fee and to issue violations so they can collect even more money. Period.

I'll take a look at the ccr's we received and see what they say. We are new at having a HOA so we are learning.

Some declarations require a unit owner be responsible for windows and doors, that may be the case with your HOA.

You are responsible for the doors, and the garage door. And your windows. And most likely the painting of the unit, and the roof. (especially if it's anything like our HOA)

Like Pink said. If the door is located on your front or side patio, it is your responsibility,windows and garage also. PS: Make sure the color is a match.
