I am buying a rental property in that zipcode. Is it a safe area and rentable area? Will it be too far out? Thanks.

I live close to there. It is safe and should be a good rental area.

Does it have a lot of shopping nearby?

Thanks for your input! The house is actually east of Lossee. Are there a lot of crimes in this tract? I heard VA hospital is being built near Pecos. Will this make the area a bit more desirable?

The area next to the VA hospital (that is already there) is just fine. As long as you stay closer to the beltway and closer to the hospital. That area is still new and they are still building. Not a lot of shopping there right now, but eventually there will be.
