Happened upon a cool show called Blown Down: Vegas Casino showing the process of demolition of The New Frontier. Coming up after is a show about a casino in Atlantic City and after that a show about The Venetian.

Just thought I'd pass that along in case anyone can catch any of it.

I don't get that channel anymore. Only have extended basic cable up to channel 59. Natgeo was up there around 102 or 103.

We just downgraded our cable a couple months ago and this is one of the channels that we lost. Boo! I swear they put the channels that actually have somewhat interesting shows on the highest tier package.

The cable companies are very clever what they put in a tier. I have looked at downgrading my package many times but I always find that I am going to lose a channel that I really like. There have been cases where I could downgrade the package and then add an individual channel back (such as Showtime) it turns out there is no savings.

The show about the Venetian was really interesting. All the research that went into deciding why to replicate ans the time spent in Venice studying the city was amazing. I'm going to have another look at the place when I am there.

I looked for another showing and didn't see it was on again. Bummer.

But not clever enough to keep you from downloading every show on their channel.

But if you don't wanna use torrents, there are lots available on the NatGeo website.

We save $27 a month by downgrading. To us, it is worth it when you add it up for a year. Having 50 million channels doesn't help when it's mostly sports channels we never used, and there are tons of those, plus way too many spanish channels. It was not worth it to pay $27 a month extra for 3-4 channels.
I do miss NatGeo, ID, PlanetGreen(which they renamed), plus Chiller channel. But I can go online and see a lot of these if I want to.
