I'm completely new to sports betting.

How do you bet on baseball? I am so confused on that?

Also, does every game (of every sport) have a minimum amount to bet? Like can you put down $10 say on a random NBA basketball game? Or can you put down any number?

Thanks!

$10, well $11 with vigorous is the usual minimum on a straight sports bet. Parlays can be less.

Baseball bets are based on $100 but you can bet less than that. If the board says a minus number, say - 135 you have to bet 135 to win 100 plus you get your wager back. If the board says +125 you bet 100 to win 125 plus your wager. So if you bet a team that is +125 for $10 and they win, your ticket is worth $22.50, $12.50 in winnings and your $10 wager back. Total runs bets uses the same minus/plus system. There is also a - 1.5/+1.5 run line where a team has to win by 2 or more to win the bet while the underdog can lose by 1 and still be a winner.
